Antimicrobial Protection.......A New Core Technology

Fab Industries has developed an antimicrobial textile treatment that durably binds effective antimicrobial ingredients to textiles that inhibit the growth of bacteria on and in the fabric. The treatment, which lasts through multiple launderings, has been engineered into the fabric through rigorous Research and Development.

The antimicrobial technology keeps the fabric fresh between launderings with its long-lasting protection inhibiting odor causing bacteria and fungus.

Antimicrobial textiles are recommended for use in the military, healthcare, work/uniforms, home fashions and domestic products, and sports apparel.

Each and every fabric listed below has been tested and certified by independent testing laboratories, (qualified to issue certified test results), based in the US with extensive experience in antimicrobial testing.

The test methods utilized are:

AATCC TEST METHOD 100

Quantitative measurement of antibacterial activity on textiles.
Samples are inoculated with a known quantity of test organisms, incubated for 24 hours and then the surviving organisms are recovered and counted.

Results:>99% reduction of both test organism after 25 launderings (Test Method AATCC 124).

AATCC TEST METHOD 147

Qualitative evaluation of antibacterial activity on textiles.
Textile samples are inoculated with bacteria via a streak method, incubated for 24 hours and then evaluated for bacterial inhibition.

Results: No growth under the fabric and clear zone of inhibition of both test organisms after 25 launderings (Test Method AATCC 124).
